Bitcoin to 100k?

Bitcoin has pulled back sharply from its 2025 all-time high, but the charts, ETF flows, and post-halving cycle timing all point to one thing: this dip looks like a pause, not the end of the bull run. Here's the bullish case for BTC's next leg toward six figures.

Bitcoin's Road to $100K: Why This Dip Is Just the Pause Before the Next Leg Up

Let's be honest — nobody bragging about Bitcoin hitting six figures back in late 2025 expected to be watching it trade in the mid-$80,000s less than a year later. Bitcoin is sitting around $86,000, a roughly $26,000 pullback from where it was trading a year ago, and the coin is running about $29,400 below where it stood a year back. On paper, that looks brutal. But if you've been in this market for more than one cycle, you know this is exactly the kind of chart that shakes out the tourists and rewards the patient. The reality check first

By the end of 2025, Bitcoin's price was sitting about 30% below the record high it had hit just months earlier. That's a normal, almost textbook post-ATH correction — Bitcoin has done this every single cycle since 2013. The difference this time is the market structure underneath it. This isn't 2018's retail-driven bloodbath. Bitcoin's market capitalization is sitting around $1.33 trillion, and that capital didn't come from Reddit degens — it came from spot ETFs, corporate treasuries, and institutions that don't panic-sell on a 30% drawdown the way retail does. What the charts are actually saying right now

Zoom into the recent price action and the picture gets more interesting. Bitcoin recently broke out through a former $82,281 ceiling on the heaviest daily turnover in weeks, printing a cycle peak near $87,300. Price is now trading well above both its 20-day and 200-day EMAs, with the 50-day average stretching its lead over the 200-day line — that's classic bullish momentum stacking. Yes, the 14-day RSI has pushed into overbought territory above 70, so don't be shocked by a cool-off or sideways chop before the next push. That's healthy. Markets that go straight up without breathing are the ones that crash hard. Bitcoin Price Prediction Sep 2026: BTC Tops $86K, $90K Next? +2

The bull case for $100K, again

Here's my honest, bulls-eye take: Bitcoin doesn't need a miracle to see $100K again — it needs time and one more wave of conviction. The structural tailwinds haven't gone anywhere:

  • ETF flows are still a standing bid. Institutional plumbing that didn't exist in prior cycles is now permanent infrastructure.

  • Halving supply shock is still working through the system. Post-halving cycles have historically peaked 12–18 months out — we're still inside that window.

  • Macro is turning friendlier. Rate-cut cycles have historically been rocket fuel for risk assets, and Bitcoin is the highest-beta risk asset there is.

  • This correction is shallow by BTC standards. A 30% pullback from all-time highs isn't capitulation — it's a gut-check, not a graveyard.

  • The honest caveat

I'm not going to pretend this is a straight line. Overbought RSI, macro shocks, or a liquidity crunch could easily send BTC back toward $75K–$80K before it sees $100K again. Anyone telling you this is a guaranteed one-way ticket is selling something.

But structurally? The floor is much higher than it was last cycle, the institutional bid is real, and the setup for a return to six figures looks less like hope and more like a matter of when, not if.

Bottom line: Stay bullish, stay sized right, and don't confuse a correction for a collapse. Bitcoin's been left for dead before — every single time, it wasn't.
